Once in a while I get a piece to consign that is difficult for me to put on my site as I want to buy it!
This, near mint, Moran St-24 is one of those.
Forged Carbon Steel Blade (my favorite blade design of Bill’s) is approx. 10.5″, OAL is approx. 16″.
St-24 shaped grip is of Curly Maple with both Silver wire inlay and hand checkering, a feature rarely seen on Morans. Front of handle is nicely sculpted and wire inlaid in an attractive pattern. Butt also has wire inlay.
Marked WF Moran and MS on reverse. Woodlined leather Moran Sheath with Moon, a Classic!
Here is a nice description from the knives owner- “Bill Moran. B 10 1/4″ 5160 steel, O 15 5/8″, handle curly maple with silver wire inlay, leather sheath with German silver moon.
